Statement
I have learned to be patient with my artwork allowing the process to unfold at its own pace . . . bringing up color, tearing down texture and then building the work back up again. I pause at times, stepping back to ensure the emotion I wish to convey is palpable. My time spent in hospitals, immersed in the healing arts, has profoundly influenced my perspective. I have witnessed firsthand how art transforms spaces, even in life’s most challenging moments. These experiences have shaped my creative approach, encouraging me to work uninhibited -- free of judgement, rules and fixed outcomes. Music often guides me, as do sunrise walks, life’s joys and hardships, both grand and small. When not in the studio, I lead expressive art workshops helping others discover the restorative power of making art. It is my hope that as you engage with my work, you will feel the same sense of hope, kindness, and possibility that inspires me. I believe art nourishes the soul just as food nourishes the body, and I am eager to share that nourishment – with your environment and your very being... Because, you deserve it!
